《深海寻人 Missing》

Actually, what I want to share here is not about the story of the movie. It is about diving part. Haha…… Me diving siao mah and very gian to go dive now, but I can’t. Therefore, go watch this movie as a substitute but………..

I am quite disappointed with the filming result in the underwater. According to the movie, they were diving around the Yonaguni Island. There was a 沉没古城 (real name 与那国岛海底遗址) around the island about 10K years history. In another phrase, they call it the Underwater Pyramids of Japan. (see this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yonaguni.) The island lies 125 km from the east coast of Taiwan at the end of the Ryukyu Islands Chain. In general, it is in East China Sea between Japan and Taiwan.

Normally, I will expect to have a better visibility when it is further up in China Sea. I expect to see more big fishes and beautiful corals ……. But no lor…. Not to what I expect lor. Don’t know whether they don’t use good camera or the visibility was really bad or the 镜头 they capture were not right.

I used to watch underwater documentary, so I expect the shooting should have good result as them….. Clear vision, not so many water particles, more fishes and corals….. heehee… is my expectation too high?

In this movie, they don’t film much fishes and corals but just the boat and the divers…. Hehe…. You will always see 1 or 2 divers with a bare open sea as the background… sianz…. In Yonaguni, large population of hammerhead shark can be found in nearby waters. So they should use this as a very 壮观 attraction mah……… instead of 李心洁(Li Sin Jie) just surrounded by a small school of fishes. That was too common lah……..

Another point is the 与那国岛海底遗址, they had plenty of shoot there…… But I still feel that they lack of something...... lack of 壮观 again lor. A few years back, I saw a documentary about this 与那国岛海底遗址. They film it until very 壮观, water vision is very clear….. even the rocks itself is nicely film……. The 镜头very nicely done. Your eye and mouth will always open big big while watching it……Wah!

If you wanted to show the 伟大 of this 古城, you should do it nicely and make people feel Wah!…….. Of course I know documentary filming should have a special kind of lenses to capture very precision details lor….. haiz… no matter how I still feel missing something lah. I don’t have the Wah! feeling from beginning till the end lor. Hahaha……

About the eerie part, I think lagi worst…….. I think it would be an insult if a lady watching an eerie moive alone and don’t feel scare from beginning till end (will feel 紧张 but not afraid). Nobody sitting beside her or even in the same roll….. nobody sitting infront of her…… but only somebody sitting behind her. So you can imagine the movie liao right.

But I learnt another important things from this movie. And that is Nitrogen narcosis. Now, I know Nitrogen Narcosis not only will harm ourseleve, but it can harm our buddy as well. Nitrogen Narcosis is a reversible alteration in consciousness producing a state similar to alcohol intoxication in divers at depth. When Narcosis happened, divers will act like a drunken. They will not know what they do or behave. So in the movie, the real reason why李心洁(Li Sin Jie) boyfriend went disappear in the sea was because she kanna Narcosis. She struggle with him in the water and eventually stabbed him with a diver knife. So ended up he died in the sea and swept away by the current.

So right now, I know narcosis can be so serious. It can kill a person life. If my buddy happened to have Narcosis….. must becareful…. they will either take out their regulator (oxygen mouth piece) to feed the fishes…. Or they will struggle you to death….. :P

How to prevent to have narcosis? Not enough sleep or too stress…… DON’T DIVE! The movie also said that…… because李心洁(Li Sin Jie) overwork before she go for her dive. She had stress her body too much that why narcosis happened.

After watching this show, then I realise there was once I feel giggy while diving was caused by Narcosis (but is a mild one)……. Next time must watch out. Lucky, I just feel giggy and strengthless….. like floating in the air…. Just let the current sweeping me left and right………

When I think back, scuba diving with buddy systems really safe? With buddy, should be safe right, but it can endanger your life too…… so what? But without buddy, you will be definity unsafe….. hehe. Anyway, in general….. take care of yourself, don't act as a hero, don’t be a budden to your buddy but at the same time, must know how to take care of them too.

Pre-Lasik Syndrome

Ai yo….. I am bored to death at work again. This week totally slow down. Please….. Hopefully, the next half year will have something to work everyday…….. If not, I will think of changing job again…. NO, NO, NO……..

Anyway, since I am so boring…… no choice, but to write my blog again lor….. keke…..
This few days, I am so anxious to go for my LASIK surgery and keep talking about it. I plan to write a blog on my experience of the entire LASIK process…… but that would be after 27 Jun 2008, so stay tune………

So now what should I write leh? Actually, I intend to write the below after I had done my LASIK, but now too boring liao…. What to do….. Write it in advance lor…. Keke…..

What next after my LASIK? Of course is to go for my Panda eye treatment lor……. Haha…. it is more or less covered when I put on spectacles. After lasik how? Nothing to cover my panda eye…... keke…….

Don’t be surprise to see me in the China ZOO one day, with my pair of Panda Eye……. Why? Kanna mistaken by the China ZOO keeper lor…….catch by them and treat me as their 国宝..... Haha…… LOL…… I think my size almost the same as panda also, wait kanna paint black and white……..forcing me to eat Bamboo stick…… Climbing high and low in the park……. Then I die lah……. Hahaha…… Siao again…….. :) ........ (Pre-Lasik Syndrome --> Too happy liao)

But I believe my Panda eye can’t be fully cure but can maintain lor……. What I understand is due to my asthmatics during young time. When I am young, I have asthma and it get cure when I turn adulthood. Right now, totally OK, but there will have some side effects lor……. Like my Sinus, my panda eye and my eczema……. All these are due to asthmatics…….. Doctors always told me NO CURE for it but can maintain. Hehe…… What to do…… must take care lor ……. Must control all my input food ……. I can’t take plenty of things…… many ppl feel miserable for me……. But what to do..... self control abit now and enjoy later lor…… :)

Ok, stop here…… Haven't go for Lasik think so much liao...... siao....... haha..... LOL.......Surgery day is nearer and nearer…… and I feel more and more excited. Wonder what’s the result?…… keke…….. Feeling is still happy, happy and happy.

To Whom Concern about Lasik Part 2

I had found a link on Intralase vs Microkeratome. Which should I choose? Hum... still don't know leh...... keke.........

Intial, I would like to choose Mircrokeratome, but after reading the attach link I will feel that Intralase would be better......... but No matter how, the impt points are:
1) Which type of surgery does your doctor is more experenice in?
2) After surgery, the hygenie is very very very impt. I must really take care of my eye. And this is always the stage that have higher risk to cause you blind.

Another think that need to consider is what will be the side effort 10 or 20 years down the road?
Of course, I don't have the answer for it...... Although right now, doctor will say no effect, but who knows right? The longest case I know is just 8 years but no problem with her right now. To me..... I think don't need to worry too much....... The technologies nowsaday is sooo advance....... I believe by then they will have ways to cure it too. Anyway, I am not the genuie pig as I am not as brave as them. I always allow the technologies to come to a more stable stage.... then I will try on it..... and I think now is the time also........

Cup Cakes + Mini Cakes for Sis bdae

2 weeks back, I received a pomotion email from Little House of Dreams. They having a promotion in June and it is niners pettie Cup cakes + a box of Cookies. So I decided to make an order through them. I always like the desgin.........

After that from their website, I realise they have a new product --> Mini Cakes and they are selling at S$9 for the rectangular and S$7 for square shape. So in additional, I ordered another rectangular mini cake. Total I spend S$31 for it..... although is ex, but I feel everytime the cakes are nicely done.... I like it.


My sis love chinese traditional dance and she is a assistant teacher as well. Therefore, ask them to do according to the theme.


This time, their cakes taste nice. It is much much nicer than the earlier which I order in May. I love their chocolate cake......... they put plenty of coco powder...... nice, nice........

To whom concern about LASIK Part 1

I have decided to go for my Lasik surgery. My feeling is confused. I feel scary but happy with excited. Scary is the portion on surgery and the side effect. Everybody knows that if a failure surgery will caused to blindness….. and will live in the dark for the rest of the life. Happy with excited is the successful surgery will lead to better eyesight and don’t need to wear glasses or contact lens until I got the “lau hua”. But not all people will get “lua hua” as well. I can happily go for my sports, yoga and other activities, without a “obstruction” on my face. Save up all the money on glasses, contact lens and solution each year.

I heard about Laisk since 8 years back from my cousin. She did one eye by the other. During that time, the technology was not as advance as now. Microkeratome (Blade) was used during that time, and when you heard about blade surgery. People will tend to back off. The price is another factor, it cost about S$2000 – S$3000 for each eye. And there were limitation as well, if your degree power was higher than 600, you are still not able to have a perfect eyesight. That means you still need to wear a pair of glasses / contact lens. Just that the power will be lower that’s all.

But now, technology is so advance that all the above cons point are no longer there. In the recent year Intralase (blade free) was introduced to the market. To know more about the different between Microkeratome you may click into this link

The price is no longer so steep. Each eye will cost about S$1200 to S$2000, almost half the price to last time. Furthermore, if your degree power is more than 600, you are still unable to get perfect eyesight. Right now, the technology could surgery up to 1000+ degree power. It is a very precise machine. The best part / worst part as well is it can do both eyes in one operation. Hehe….. The best part is you can save your time, one stone kill 2 birds. Don’t need to wait for a week later and then go through the whole painful process again. The worst part is if the surgery fail, the chances of getting 2 eyes to be blind is higher. HAHA….. think about it is quite scary also.

Right now, the risk of undergo this surgery is 1:10000.

But anyway decision made. I had opt for 2 eyes at one go (as the package is in this way now). After listen to the forum, you understand more about it and automatically it helps to build up the confidence with the clinic, doctors, nurses, machines and technologies. There are 3 speakers and they are doctors and one of them is quite famous, his name is Marc Tay. Normally, a doctor will do 5000 case a year, but he is doing 10000 over cases a year..... wow....... But that means he hit 1:10000 ratio is higher lor...... (hope u get it).

The doctor that are going to do surgery for me is Dr Yap. Although most people preferred Marc Tay, but because I do not have preferred doctor, so they appointed Dr Yap for me. I quite like this doctor too....... from the way he speak, you can feel the clamness on him...... I just feel comfortable.......

Ok. Right now, what I need to make decision is to opt for Microkeratome : blade but faster process about 15 mins, 0.38% sucess rating or Intralase : blade free but longer process about 20 mins, 100% sucess rating. Doctor still suggests Mircokeratome is good enough; most people still choose this traditional way of doing it and it had been in the market for more than 10 years. And Intralase is only a 2-3 years technology…….. hehe….. so which one do you think I should choose? Hum….. that can decide later when I do my operation that day. Tell you later which one I choose OK…. Keke…..

The reason why I choose to go for Lasik is because of my friend. She went for it last year Aug / Sep. She updated me on the technology now. Then I think back, since 8 years back my cousin did it till now, there were no side effects. The technology is better now, so it would be safer too.

So on 30 May, I called up and make appointment for the forum on 06 Jun evening.
After listen to the doctor explanation, I book for a eye evaluation the next day, 07 Jun morning. For just an eye evaluation, it will take about 3 hours time to finish it. So after that, I straight away book appointment on 27 Jun (the best date I can have in this month).

Ok……. So now what I need to do is to wait for the day to come…… a brighter day waiting for me…….. happy….. happy….happy...... I will tell you how I feel after the surgery.
