This was my 3rd Dive Trip in this year, and I would called it a year for diving. Monsoon is coming soon, so no more sea sports. Hum........ then must plan for land activities liao.
Ok, back to my Dive Trip. After 5 months, I was back to P.Redang again. Hum...... Although I was back to the same island, same resort and same sea water as earlier. But the feeling was much different from the earlier ones. Good or Bad? Hum.......I should said mixture.
The earlier trip, I was alone so it was full of adventures, getting to know many new friends / peoples in the resort. (Please read the earlier Blog in Mar 2007, if you want to know what happen). And it was end of Monsoon season; beginning of diving period so the visibility is much better, and water was more calmed. Sea was much blue, beach was much white and sand was much fine. Most important things are, the crowd are not there yet. It is like your own island. Hehe.
In this trip, not much adventure things happened but more torture – being tortured by the 12 hours journey in a mini van (The driver was a save driver, so by right a 10 hours journey, it become 12 hours lor…..But still wanna to thanks him for being so save lah……. At least I reach home in one piece. Hehe.) Another torturing thing was the air con in the ferry. It was like the electricity / petrol was FOC. It was so cold until I almost frozen to death. But once you walk out of the ferry, the weather outside was so hot. It's really a termocline.
When I reach the island, I was quite sad. It was too crowded, everywhere were full of people and the beach had been littered by the tourists. You can see Rambutan shells, durian shells and plastics bags around the beach. Oh my Gosh......
The other thing was the wave is too big. Big wave will cause the boat to capsize, is quite dangerous also. So the boat man will not willing to bring us out into the sea. That means dive trip might be force to cancel. *:p* Sometimes, it might also affect the water visibility and might have strong under current as well. But under current is good, because it means big fishes will be anywhere around you. And the small fishes will hide in coral to provide being “drift” away by current. That means they will station at a place and we can easily see them. Hehe......
In overall, next time just take note if you wanna to go P. Redang. Go during early Mar, because crowd is not there, sea water is still calm, sun is still very sunny and coach is easily available.
