Wonderful energy flow.

Wah...... feel sooooo great! Hehe.... I enjoy myself over Kids Yoga workshop on last Saturday! Although is only 3.5hrs, but it is fun, it’s fun, it’s fun, fun, fun, fun...... Hehe.......

We, these yoga enthusiasms enjoying our whole morning at the class room with kids. We do yoga, we sung, we story telling, we play games together with the kids...... Hahaha..... We seems like almost want to tear off the whole classroom. Hahaha..... The energy was GREAT!

The ideal of organizing this event is about a mth ago. One of my yoga therapy friend mentioned, she have a lobang at this association. They want somebody to organizing event for their members, especially school holiday is coming. So she suggest to why not we come together to do a kids yoga workshop for initial start up. If the response is good, then we can have long term classes there.

Hahaha..... Long term??? I don’t think that far. For me, I just want to have fun in volunteering and sharing my experience.

So some of us come together and work out something for this event. The main facilitators are Joan and Queelie. They do the main job, in planning and scheduling the class. As for me, they put me as one of the game leaders. Actually, I didn’t plan any games. :p Because I didn’t really meet them up while they have their routine meeting. Their meeting always crash with some other things which I have to attend.

When I was there, they just tell me a few games they have in mind. And ask me which one I am more comfortable with and just lead it. Then hor..... they put me as the 1st game leader.... haha... Lucky, I have some 功力 of teaching .... if not, I am sure very nervous one leh….. no preparation, no planning ... nothing.... Just 硬着头皮上阵。(But also lucky they are kids, they don't know even you have done wrongly. If they know you do wrongly, they will forgive and forget easily.... and that is kids.)

Then I choose to play “leader change”. Hehe...... Fun! “Leader, leader, change, change, change” “Leader, leader, change, change, change” “Leader, leader, change, change, change”..... Very simple lor...... We form a circle, then ask one of the kids to be a "monkey", and the other one to be the "leader" to change pattern. The rest is followers, once the leader change patterns, the followers will change patterns too. (sound familiar right??? Hahaha.... now I remember, we play it during our Poly time! In the chalet, and our faces are drawn until like a MONKEY! Did you all still remember? Hahaha.....)

The kids are so 天真..... they are sooooo fun and make me laugh until stomach pain..... hahaha.... You know what..... Everyone of them wanted to be a leader. But they don’t really know what is the leader role.... As a leader, we must keep changing pattern, but this kids don’t know how to change. They just do the same pattern until they get caught. Haha...... a lot of funny things lah.... don’t know how to say.... but very fun lor. Hahaha.....

By right, we are enrolling 7-9 years old kids. But ended up, our age range is from 3-10 years old. Actually, 3 years old kids are not suitable to go with 10 years old kids. Kids start to have their own identities when they are at the age of 9-12 years old. It is good to separate them as 3-5 and 6-8 years old. So actually, our class is like a rojak.... haha.... the 10 years old kids have their own thinking and is much difficult to manage. They tend to have their own thinking and they don’t like to play with someone younger than them. They will disobey you; They will do things against you; They will even against your speech.... But still not too bad, we have some other experience “mother” around to handle them. Haha.....

Actually, some of my friends they are mothers of 1 or 2 and some of them their kids is quite big liao....... so they know how to handle well. In our programme we even have person in charge of handling difficulties kids or some special kids...... so next time if you enrol your kids in any programme, not too worry. They sure have include all kinds of factors in. (like if we organise outdoor event, we must have wet weather programme as a backup too.... do you know that?) So same thing, we must include all kinds of factors in all kinds of event.

Then for the younger kids..... lucky most of them are quite independent. Their mum is not allows to stay in the classroom with them and they didn’t make any noise or cry. There is only one mum need to stay back to join with her 2 daughters. Initially, they don’t join in the group. They just sit together with their mum but when the activities are more and more interesting, they start to blend in. Hehe..... (just slow warming up). In total we have 11 students and only 3-4 of them need special attention. So I take care of a 3 years old kids, Walter. He is the youngest among the class..... and most cute one..... Haha..... And can tell he enjoy very much too especially come to games..... He even volunteer to become a leader.... hahaha.....

Aiyo.... Talk too much liao..... overall, I really very enjoy myself..... Although, we don’t take a cents for this..... is volunteering basis..... but I am still thinking..... Really, am I really doing my volunteering job???? Or is it the opposite way? The kids are volunteering to make me so happy and enjoy myself? Hahaha.... which is which?

I didn't take pics here, because there are 3 professional photographer there....... so don't need me to take anymore. I just need to wait for their pics will do. Hahaha....

Hey friends, when your kids grow older maybe I can jio all this friends to orgainise this kids yoga event again...... and let your kids to join in. Hahaha.... Is FUN!
