Lately, I blog more than ever, because many ideals coming out from my mind..... So choose to write it down. Remember earlier, I talk about PA seminar? I want to add on something that I observe. Things that I observe about speakers on stage and this help me in term of my teaching.
I don’t know how many of them know it long time ago. But I just realize lately, maybe because I am slow....... but nevermind, now still not too late to realize it.
When we go for talks or seminars.......I realize most of the speakers on stage are not giving presentation. They are sharing their real live experience and NOT just a presentation.
And every time, this kind of real live experience will get my attention very much (I don’t know how about you). They were like story telling; one story after another one. No matter whether are they bull shitting, are they adding in more salt and pepper to make it tasty or whether it is only 50% true. For sure, it will catch people attention at least mine.
During the seminar, Mr Charles In continuously telling us story after story. And my yoga teacher, Jason Lim, do the same things too but they don’t know one another...... they can easily say it out and share it with the audiences or students. They don’t need any notes on hand like we are presenting our projects. (I don’t know whether you are still with me or not).
While Jason teacher is teaching, he just quotes some of his case study to us. He is like telling a story about how he picked up the case, what were the patients background, what he did on them and what was the result on them…….. so easily by telling us stories. He is also a very experience person. A person who goes through high up and down. His live is like roller coaster....... hahaha........
So I realize one thing and that is 有故事的人,才能说出精彩的故事。
My aim is like them 做个有故事的人,说出精彩的故事。Teach my class by telling them a story. Right now, I am still very green on this....... sometimes, I want to share my story with them...... but don’t know what to start with and how to start with. Still need to improve on this...... Ok, buck up!
